Five bathroom design concepts we love at Coalbrook

With so many interior design trends online to choose from, we look at five design-lead bathroom concepts that with think you should consider when planning your next bathroom…

CREDITS THOMPSON & LEIGH

1. Concrete

Current bathroom trends are very much about injecting personality while keeping a spa-like or monastic serenity, which is where concrete comes in – it’s increasingly becoming the go-to material with a high-quality finish. Coloured concrete comes with vivid hues running through the entire slab, making it durable and highly unlikely to fade.

It will have its own texture and depth, giving even the smaller size space a hammam-feel. We recommend finishing with our gold-toned brushed brassware or for a distinctive design choose our gunmetal Bank range

2. New Metallics

It's time to move away from the mainstream and tap into the latest trends. Metals are making a comeback in a big way across various design disciplines. Why not be bold and choose different metallic finishes like brushed brass, nickel or gunmetal, they are

the most popular alternatives trending this year. And of course, failsafe chrome will always be a classic. All our ranges are readily available in all four finishes for endless design possibilities.

3. Floating vanities

Choose a floating vanity to add clean lines, as well as a super space-saving storage solution. They come in an array of configurations from a complete unit with a countertop, sink and storage base, to entirely separate pieces or partial sets.

Separates give you the option to find the ideal arrangement with different width and length options for the countertop – how many sinks will you choose? You can fully customise your choice with any of our ranges, but for a minimal design with recommend our DECCA range in brushed nickel or our chrome Domo range for endless design possibilities.

4. Bathroom panels

Bathroom wall panels are the hottest trend for 2022. They are a great solution for any bathroom project due to ease of installation, affordability and overall look. They can transform any bathroom with a modern style in a mix of matt and gloss finishes.

With modern printing techniques, you can create full wall graphics in any style you choose from traditional and high-end, to rustic, vintage or even a beach theme. The finish will be both stylish and completely waterproof; you could also consider using smaller panels as splashbacks instead of tiling alongside your bath and sink.

5. Backlit mirrors and cabinets

Another designer bathroom concept we love are mirrored cabinets with a choice of either subtle or bright backlighting. A backlit mirror creates a glowing effect on the wall giving the illusion of a floating mirror, which can be used to create an eye-catching focal point or highlight textured wall surfaces.

Here at Coalbrook with have a complete range of accessories from paper holders or soap baskets, from robe hooks to towel rings, ideal to team with any cabinet. Dim the cabinet lights at night to give designer bathrooms a spa-like feel.
