Modern wet room inspiration by York House Design

Edgehill Road
Our clients wanted to create a wet room which broke with tradition and was full of individuality, texture and edgy design.
We presented the Coalbrook Decca range to them and they loved it straight away. The ribbed detail on the handles compliments the ribbed glass in their new bathroom window, but it really was all about the gunmetal.
All the colours and finishes in the bathroom were designed to go with the gunmetal fixtures from Coalbrook.
We finished the bathroom walls in micro cement with liquid black chrome veins – stunning! Bespoke frameless wet room glass with subtle black brackets to continue the theme. The vanity unit has a black wood grain finish and bottle green brick tiles vertically stacked add a splash of colour and interest with their unconventional layout. The industrial finishes are softened by a custom egg-shaped mirror and then plants, plants and more plants!
Grand Drive
Combining red, blue and concrete with gunmetal grey, this is a fun and masculine feeling bathroom with subtly deco inspirations. It features a backlit freestanding bath, walk-in shower and wall-hung concrete basin with wall-mounted taps.
With the other ribbed detailing going on in the brick red Iva Kast concrete basin and in the new fanlight above the door, there was one perfect choice for the brassware – Coalbrook Decca.
As soon as we had shown the range to our clients it became a non-negotiable feature of the bathroom!
As an independent design consultancy, at York House Designs we give a great amount of consideration to the products and manufacturers that we specify within our projects and are excited to have another Coalbrook project on our desks at the moment.
This time, we will be using the Decca levers in chrome against a backdrop of marble and washed oak to create a slightly softer and more feminine bathroom for our client.
